Yucky water.

I am not going into a detailed explaination on this one. In short, I have learned that this is an old building, and that damp air, heat, and cold makes parts of its insides sweat. This phenomenon created a small, hidden pool under the head of my bed, and some rearranging needed to be done. The rearranging resulted in my loft bed being assembled and used as a place of storage. This has turned out quite nicely, and I have been able to open up so seriously needed cupboard space. I will cover the new storage eyesore with some white sheets when I can get my hands on some, and call it a day.

My new storage digs.

More art.

I found these three pieces I painted back in collage while I was going through some old boxes of stuff.

post snow update

We recieved 18 inches of white glory here in Vernonia, and now we arre recieving who-knows-how-many-inches of rain. I satyed in town for 5 days while Mother God rained the white stuff down, and I have to say

I LOOOOOVE MY HOME!

I am so happy to be back whith my man and my kitties. It's heaven!

Corndog has kidney failure, and I was going to take him to the vet and have him put to sleep last Wednesday. The weather changed that, and now he seems to be doing better. So, until he suffers a relapse of the badness, I will give us both a chance to enjoy each other and life. Might as well put off hitting him over the head with a shovel and buring him in the back yard until I have to.

A new name.

The cat that adopted us recently finally has a new name. My neighbor was calling him Grey Ghost, but that just wasn't a fitting name. The new one is way cooler.
We recently finished a costco-sized box of corndogs, and we used the lid as a place to roll dice while playing a board game in bed. Of course, we left the bottom half of the box on the floor, and G.G. took up residence almost immediately. Why not? It's small, has high sides you can just peer over when curled up in it (for safety and stealth) and it smells like corn dogs. What's not to like?
He spent so much time camped out in this box that Eli put a blanket in it for him. Every time I would ask, "Where is G.G?", Eli would respond with, "Where do you think he is???".
A couple days ago I told G.G. we would just start calling him Corn Dog, and it stuck. He is now G.G. Corn Dog, the Cat in the Box. I have a picture of him, but I am to lazy to download it. Use your imagination.

What a beautiful day! It's sunny and my day off. I have had coffee, kitties, and quiet surfing. Very nice.
